Powell
Enjoy a self-guided walking tour through downtown Powell. Powell's downtown is
on the National Registry of Historic Districts. A tour brochure with photographs
is available at the Powell Valley Chamber of Commerce, 111 S. Day Street.
Cody Trolley Tour
A fun, old time trolley that tours the city of Cody to gain an overview of the old and new west. A one hour, 22 mile tour presents local history, area attractions, geology, wildlife and spectacular scenery interwoven with the compelling story of "Buffalo Bill" Cody. The tour includes two lively narrators, a dozen poster sized photos from historical archives and many entertaining audio clips. Open June - September. The trolley departs from the Irma Hotel, 1192 Sheridan Avenue, with three daily tours Monday through Saturday, 11am, 3, and 6:30 pm., and two daily tours on Sundays, 11am and 3 pm. Tickets may be purchased at select local lodging establishments. Free pickup is provided from most local hotels and campgrounds.

Kirwin Excursion
Historic mining ghost town 38 miles SW of Meeteetse. The Meeteetse Museum sponsors an annual Kirwin Excursion each August. Bring your lunch and carpool to the historical site deep in the forest. 4-wheel drive is suggested, not always required. Information available at 307.868.2454.
